Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Conejos County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Conejos County Courthouse, 6683 County Road 13, Conejos CO 81129, in the Board of County Commissioner’s Room, for the adoption of guidelines regarding the designation of activities or areas of state interest for the following: 

1. Site selection and construction of major new domestic water and sewage systems and as an activity of state interest
2. Major extension of existing domestic water and sewage treatment systems, as an activity of state interest.
3. Efficient utilization of municipal and industrial water projects as an activity of state interest.
4. Site selection and construction of major facilities of a public utility, as an activity of state interest.

In particular, the County is considering adopting guidelines and regulations regarding REGULATIONS FOR SITE SELECTION AND CONSTRUCTION OF MAJOR FACILITIES OF A PUBLIC UTILITY in Conejos County, and Guidelines and Regulations for Water Projects for Export Outside the San Luis Valley as Designated as Matters of State Interest of Conejos County.
