CONEJOS COUNTY SHOOTING RANGE

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: BOARD OF DIRECTORS (5 SEATS)


Conejos County is accepting applications for five (5) positions on the Conejos County Shooting Range Board of Directors. Community members interested in supporting safe, responsible, and accessible shooting sports are encouraged to apply.


Board Responsibilities

  • Attend regular board meetings and special sessions

  • Participate in long‑term planning and decision‑making
  • Review and approve budgets, policies, and major initiatives
  • Support safety, compliance, and community engagement
  • Lead and assist with fundraising efforts
  • Provide oversight and guidance for range upkeep and maintenance
  • Serve as ambassadors for the organization and its values


  • Qualifications

  • Commitment to firearm safety and responsible range use

  • Integrity, sound judgment, and ability to work collaboratively
  • Experience in leadership, business, nonprofit governance, or community service (preferred but not required)
  • Willingness to volunteer time and actively contribute to board duties


Term Lengths

To establish staggered governance and continuity, the Conejos County Shooting Range will appoint:

  • Two (2) members to 2‑year terms

  • Three (3) members to 4‑year terms
